Maesteg Mission Statement

Central Churh is involved with the local community on many levels; although none of these contacks are overtly "evangelistic" they are a valuable bridge between the church and community. From coffee mornings to quiz nights via concerts and strawberry teas our involvemant and contact is various. Our involvement with the activities of the Llynfi Valley Council of Churches means we take an active part in the Good Friday
"March of Witness
"

Central Maesteg

The church building is situated in Church Street, across the road from the bus station and Town Hall. The building was originally the chapel of Bethel Baptist Church and it still bears the name on an ancient plaque. Central Church came into being in 1985 when the United Reformed, Methodist and Baptist Churches in Maesteg agreed to be united in one worshipping congregation to be known as Central Church Maesteg. The Church serves the whole of the top part of the Llynfi Valley and has members from Caerau, Nantyffllon, Maesteg, Garth, Cwmfelin and Llangynwydd.
